What We’re All About

Green Side Up started like many of the best ideas do—with a few beers and shared laughs after a long day’s work. We figured if more people in this industry shared their stories—the wins, the setbacks, and everything in between—we’d all be better off for it.

That’s what we’re here to do: bring real stories from people who “get it,” shedding light on the everyday challenges and victories. From field crews to owners, and with guests who’ve been through it too, we’re here to connect and keep the green industry learning from each other.

At Green Side Up, Jason Lee and Jordan Upcavage bring knowledge, passion, and personal stories to every conversation. With years of experience in landscaping and tree care, they are here to offer genuine insights, relatable stories, and real solutions for those in the green industry.

Jason Lee

Award-winning landscaper and owner of SkyFrog Landscape Jason combines deep industry knowledge with a hands-on approach, transforming outdoor spaces precisely. Recognized by the Gator 100 and UF’s 40 Under 40, he leads with a passion for growth and excellence in the landscape industry. A regular outdoorsman, you’ll probably find Jason out on an alligator hunt when he’s off the clock.

Jordan Upcavage

Certified Arborist and VP of Independent Tree Service, Jordan is known for his expertise and dedication to sustainable tree care. A family man and outdoors enthusiast, he has influenced Florida’s standards in tree care, proudly serving on the Florida ISA board for five years. Jordan’s just as comfortable on the water as he is in a tree—he’s a saltwater fishing addict, spearfisher, and lobstering pro.
